You could've knocked me over with a recording reel. This film is a humanitarian (are you ready?) portrait of the man who used to be your worst nightmare. Most likely responsible for most of the paranoia which has become so much a part of modern life and spurred on the convictions of a man like Oliver Stone, tricky Dicky probably did have a heart. Unfortunately, it was buried under too much tape. What do you expect from an obsessed Capricorn? An amazing performance by Anthony Hopkins at the top of a top-notch cast. Hopkins is always at his best, but here he is perfection.
