The River Wild

A family relationship in troubled waters is resolved during a vacation near the wife's old homestead when they are reunited in love and understanding with the assistance of a thief and psychotic killer. Meryl Streep and Kevin Bacon become the battling forces 'a la Deliverance' in this cruise down a dangerous gorge. Good performances only enhance the funfare for thrill-seekers. A film that finally shows what all those scout meetings were really meant for.
