Robert Redford teams up with Michelle Pfeiffer this time
for "The Way We Are" becomes "The Way We Were." Or, more
appropriately, imagine replacing Kristofferson with
Redford and Streisand with Pfeiffer in a screenplay
written by Joan Didion and John Gregory Dunne, who also
happened to write the 1976 version of A Star is Born,
modernize with a bit of Broadcast News ala 1990's, and you
wind up with a catastrophe wasting the talents of two
leading stars as well as Stokkard Channing and Kate
Nelligan. Norman, is that you?
