In the not too distant future:

That boy in the Konzentrationslager could peel back the wire fences like a new age cola tin. This boy with special attractions would become the terror of a new world. Always different from others, Logan was to become the slash-fingered Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) keeping on the run. Jane Grey (Famke Janssen) in her striking red dress knows a thing or two to tell about mutants, but the Congress will have none of it. Outsiders are outsiders and should stay in their proper places. Wheelaway Professor Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart), super-sender, spots Erik Lehnsherr aka Magneto (Ian McKellan) in the crowd and exchanges words across the hi-tech titanium bridge. Good and evil, face to face. Some teenage girl named Rogue (Anna Paquin) with puberty problems and secret gifts gets off the bus and winds up in the

middle of a Mad Max brawl before she peremptorily hitches a hidden lift with the longhaired Logan/Wolverine. This rough tough fighter is a cross between Clint Eastwood and the Wolfman with sufficient built-in metal to make him years younger. Miss Rogue, tortured by her lack of self-control, tells in train, "The first boy I ever kissed wound up in a coma for three weeks." He slashes her when waking up and finding a stranger standing over him (some lame excuse to say it was an accident). Catch those retractable adamantium claws. Sharp, but not as flashy as the ruby-red- quartz visors of Cyclops (James Marsden).

Homo superior? So, what's your problem? Can't you be like everybody else?

Ellis Island is due to open for business once again and deal with these non-desirable mutants. Class is in session elsewhere, though, under the guiding thought waves of Charles Xavier. When Little Green Riding Hood shows up she is given a ball of ice and a "Welcome to Mutant High."

Cerebro tears things apart on his super-power-cycle (especially when tampered with). Sabretooth (Tyler Mane) ouch. The blue fish lady shows her gills and gives the presidential aide some thrills. Big bad Storm (Halle Berry) looks set for another weather tantrum! Dig that 3D-CGI map table. "You know what happens to a Toad (Ray Park) when it's struck by lightning?" And more FX when Logan gets Mystique (Rebecca Romijn-Stamos) FiXed for a Storm. Who's gotten trapped in Liberty's torch? Like Matrix meets Brother Mine. The fireworks flash as world leaders gather on the Island of Division. Shocking enough to make a young girl's hair turn white. Xavier vs. Magneto or Shakespeare meets Shakespeare, in short. Exciting exiting end into a plastic cell. Very contemp hi-tech, but not much space. Who knows what the future (not too distant) will bring? Get it?

Nice to see Stan Lee again, too. Marvelous.

Hope I haven't given too much of the plot away. Enjoy it for yourself.

Excuse me, but I have to change back to my original form now.

A MUST SEE
