For Those Who Are Not Spanking The Monkey... October Cinekid, the international Film and TV Festival for Children, will be back once again between the 17th and 25th of October at the Balie and City Theaters on the Leidseplein in Amsterdam. Among the extra activities planned, Dutch actor Huub Stapel (of "Flodder" fame) will be giving a master class for selected child actors. The Secret Adventures of Tom Thumb (for those who have outgrown children's films) will finally be shown for the first time in Holland at the Dutch Film Museum (10 P.M. daily until October 7th). For those of you who are not busy with "Spanking the Monkey", you might want to check it out. "The All-Night Horror Show Part 6" (see BUZZ from August) on its tour from July 11th of this year until January 29th of 1999 arrives in Amsterdam Friday night October 17th. Grif theater, one of the more interesting alternative theatre groups in Holland, will be showing a filmed version based upon one of their performances title "Cinemablanc" at the Rotterdam Festival this year. The live performance itself makes use of mixed media including film.
